We are offering new guided day climbs from the Aoraki Mt Cook Alpine Village: Mt Footstool ascent. This is a two day climb. The first day we travel to the Sefton Bivvy and stay the night there. Then it's up at 3am to climb the summit of this 9000ft glaciated mountain. It's a great climb. We head back to Sefton Bivvy to pick up our gear and then head off to the Mt Cook village and the Old Mountaineers for a cold beer!!!!! Cost: $1200. Ratio 2:1 TASMAN GLACIER SKIPLANE DAY HIKES: Take this incredible day trekking and exploring ice caves on the famous Tasman Glacier. Two fantastic scenic ski plane flights, experienced guide and a great lunch make this a day to remember while visiting Aoraki Mt Cook. The cost is $595 per person (min 3px) Above trips include guide fees, lunch, DOC permit fees, GST and necessary safety equipment. The Tasman Glacier trek also includes two skiplane flights. The Mt Footstool climb includes mountaineering gear and food during the climb.
